The title explains it all but this group is a fan group for the Video Games Mass Effect 1 (ME1), Mass Effect 2 (ME2), and Mass Effect 3 (ME3). This is the place to post images, videos and news about the Mass Effect Universe, comics and games.
Yeah driving Mako was really fun, finding all those stuff on planets, it really felt like i'm exploring. But planet probing for resources was the stupidest thing they could put in Mass Effect 2. I hope they came up with something better for resource gathering in Mass Effect 3.
What? Aside from the first time that I've played ME2 I haven't had a problem with mining. The last 4 or 5 play troughs I've done haven't required me to mine until the last quarter of the game, and even I didn't need too.
I know what you mean, I have played through it so many times on Insanity that I don't even care anymore. I need more play-throughs though, so I edit the save and give myself all the good guns and 9999999 resources lol.
'Anomoly detected'
me - 'Hell yeah, finally.'
2 minutes later (including load times)
me - 'That was fun, i got to go into one room and kill 3 blue suns mercs. Yay. Totally worth the hour of planet scanning.'
yip, those are some hours of m life I'm not getting back lol
lol so true. planet scanning, what a pain it was.
Haha.
At least rolling with the Mako was fun.
Probing on the other hand...

they must!
On my first 2 playtroughs it was a pain in the arse, to be fair, I hated it. On the third I used a trainer for the resources, shame on me, blah...
probe ******* launched

Not true.
You can get used to mining if you have a steady mouse & hearing to pinpoint the minerals.
At least there is that joke with Uranus right?
"Probing Uranus"
Just use a savegame editor and move on with yer life. That's how I did it.
Blasphemy! The Enkindlers are disappointed of your divergence from the righteous path.

Painfully true...
My favorite.

I still prefer ME2 to ME1 though.
