Yet he himself is a man...
He's actually an istari, sent to Middle Earth in human form by the Valar to challenge Sauron.
Sauron himself is originally Istari to and his greater master Morgoth did once belonged to the Valar.
As far as i know, Sauron is technically a Maiar spirit and not an Istar, however all the Istari were Maiar spirits
If one of the Istari would got the ring they would become just like sauron so thats why Gandalf never wanted to touch the ring and when he did he saw terrible things.
Hmm, how come there's about 1000+ Saruman/Gandal pictures and about 4 from Allatar and Pallando?
beacuse Allatar and Pallando disappeared from ME. They wandered to the east and no one heard anything from them. I wonder about Radagast! Wheres those pictures???!!!!!!
one doe not simply make a photograph of a wizard in the dark woods. :p
