The end is nigh. The infected are lurking everywhere and chances of survival are slim. Left 4 Dead focuses on the story of 4 individuals and their harrowing battles against the hordes of the infected that roam the streets. What about other survivors? What would they look like and what kind of deformed monstrosities would they be up against?
The Captive was just your everyday, run-of-the-mill cannibal spending his days in solitary confinement and awaiting his court hearing -- that is, until lady luck directed her sinful gaze in his direction. Presented with the opportunity and driven by his insatiable appetite, he escapes his bonds during the panic of outbreak and discovers a world only previously accessible in his darkest fantasies. Now, having fallen victim to the infection, he roams a society with no shackles, no rules, and no dining etiquette. The trial is over and the verdict is... TERROR!
Gameplay notes:
-Above average run speed, but very audible shackle chains and straitjacket buckles while doing so
-Ability to slowly and silently sneak. No idle noises (boomer belching, etc.)
-Use of cover/shadows, encourages the "ambush" gameplay mechanics
-Primary attack is a running tackle that pushes the survivor along the ground before coming to a stop (opposite of the smoker's pull)
-Incapacitates survivor and the Captive begins to bite causing moderate damage
