If you have a Left 4 Dead crashing problem, the solution is here!
It's really easy actually:
1st Turn off Anti Aliasing
2nd Turn off MultiCore Rendering
3rd Just to be sure, put Anisotropic Filtering to Trilinear.
Everything else is your choice.
That's it, it's that simple.
Hope I helped.
Be sure to comment if it worked.
That actually makes NO SENSE.
If you can't handle the game well, don't use AA. AF should never be above tri-linear for the same reason. Multicore rendering is SUPPOSED to help the game run if your using dual or quad core, and should work well, unless valve harshly sucks at coding. Only TF2 and L4D have that option so that could be apparent.
If those are causing crashing, then your video card can barely handle L4D, because if anything they should just lower your framerate.
I played L4D In TOP settings and it ran great. I have more than enough 4 L4D. But it Crashed 4 some reason. :(
I ran mine at top settings with AA and AF full override from my video card. It ran fine. My only problem is steam crashes everytime I exit a game on it, but I have only steam to blame for its suckyness.
I've had my game running at MAX settings including resolution for my monitor which is 1680 x 1050.
It ran perfectly for the whole time i had it except for the odd occasion of servers cocking up, lagging and slowing down.
I even played the game in Windowed Mode with MSN, Mozilla and Windows Media player open which can be a real stress tester for the computer (my laptop cant handle that)
Just thought i'd voice what i've experienced.
I think It's my compability issue. :P
ANW It works now.
BTW I play while listening to music and dozens of programs on. :P
My game kept crashing, changed it to windowed mode instead of full-screen. It fixed the issue.
This article has no place on a L4D2 boycott group. We are not playing or buying the game.
It's 2016 and L4D2 had same price as L4D1.
lol Valve wins.
