Any Starforge players out there, anyone curious about the game? I picked up the founder's pack (split it with a friend actually) when it was half off. I love the concept and I really hope they get more work done soon. Here is my opinion on it so far (copied from the Steam group)

Unless you want to help fund the awesome idea that Starforge is, I would hold off on buying it. I would currently call the game nearly unplayable.

The base defense mode, while there, is way too easy, I went from wave 11 to wave 38 without doing a thing beyond what I had already built before finally losing. I can, however, see the potential and think that this mode could be a lot of fun on a LAN game with some buddies once it is harder with a better variety of monsters. Also, the return of a digging feature to make trenches and stuff would be cool.

The building mode is currently missing the digging feature (which is how you apparently get more stone and metal for making things) when this feature gets re-implimented (they are promising end of summer) at least the building mode will be playable. I went and drove my starting car off into the middle of nowhere and died, and do not have enough metal to re-build one, so all I can really do is make wooden buildings. I consider my progress as stalled until I can dig for stone and metal.

Space is apparently currently not in the game, to make way for some better and more interesting features that the game needs.

If you are like me and don't mind funding the idea of this game then pick yourself up a copy. If you are looking for a playable game with some of the features and don't mind some bugs, keep in touch with me and I'll let you know when the game progresses enough to be a bit funner :)

They've been posting on Facebook what they've been working on, it all looks very promising, the power generators are almost done and apparently digging will be implimented in October, personally I was hoping for September, but I'm looking forward to being able to gather resources properly either way :)
And a little information on the power generators: it sounds like they will provide power to anything within their radius (though some people are asking them to impliment power cables) there will apparently initially be a pad which you place resources such as barrels of oil on which the generators use as fuel for lights and turrets and such.
