Kind of curious which one you guys prefer. I personally use either one depending on what I'm doing.
Differential equations make more sense with dy/dx since then you can get (stuff) dy = (stuff)dx and that's really intuitive for separable differential equations but otherwise I like y' since it's quicker/easier to write.
I guess you could say they are arguing over their... differentiations...
