This is giving way too much credit to the Swiss.
Switzerland gets to not be involved in war by making sure the cost of waging war on them is always much higher than what anyone can afford.
Not just on making the country itself into a massive fortress and a strategic nightmare to invade, but also by having a major chunk of the world's money in their banks.
Yeah, the amount of fortifications they had built during WW2 expecting a German invasion as well as during the Cold War expecting a Russian invasion is insane. I'm talking giant bunkers inside whole mountains in the Alps. Most information has only recently been made public and some parts are still classified.
At least this one dosn't fire its gun every time you turn on the heater.
