Luten posted an update on Nov 9th, 2015 stating that the mod is dead at the moment.
The main reasons were: their PayPal account being reported, which meant the donations stopped, so the members who were accepting money from aforementioned donations lost interest so the members who continued working were feeling there were only one or two people working on the mod and as he said "in the end it started to feel more like stressful work". Plus on top of all that there are torrent versions of this mod that don't credit any of the original authors which also isn't helpful to the original creators. They mention trying to find more people to help them, but those that could help them were already working on it. And they comment pausing the mod with "So it got to the point where working on this felt like real work, and that's not fun.".
From the last build they made huge engine progress mainly with graphics. They also added some BETA controller support. You can find the latest BETA build here:
I feel that some day they will realize people want and need this mod, including me. I think they need some sort of a break and positive feedback from fans and people to continue to believe in them and their amazing skill.
