Still, you need to be friggin pro using blender. I, for one would never udnerstand it's interface. So i guess i'll stick to 3ds for now.

Try the 2.54 version...it's interface is wayy more friendly tham the 2.49.

Blender doesn't supports N-Gons, so your way to model on it, making connects don't work well with it. I have also had this difficult before, but everything is a matter of adaptation

you mean motion capture? I'm not sure, it doesn't really look that way but maybe they did, they probably have a website where you can find these things.

I don't think they used MoCap at all or if so just in very slim instances. MoCap is really only good for exactly matching what a human does that is very specific (like an athlete's throwning motion or an actor's exact expression). In many of the shots, so much data "massaging" of the capture points would have to be done to blend it into the environment that it would more than likely be easier to just keyframe/simulate it. Many of the characters' movements aren't very MoCap friendly.

Awesome movie, I'll only use blender if only it had a user interface thats comparable to 3DS Max since I consider Max as a standard to my use.
I'm amazed such a small compact software is that capable of rendering such art. :)

Also stupid mouse (mouse malfunctioning), I accidentally click the report button by mistake, sorry.

Sintel is awesome movie. Blender is my favorite 3D program currently, I always use it for my work, despite being a starter user almost without knowledge.
