This tutorial will cover how to create a basic FoC Space map.

1. Open up your map editor, select "new space map".

2.Switch the default from single player to multiplayer and put how many players you want available to play on the map. You can also name your map here and adjust the size.

3.Once you've clicked ok, go to the "nature" tab, and to the left, scroll down till you see the area called "sky dome". Chose the first type of skydome you want and do the same to the second dome.

4. Next select the "objects tab". Scroll down to the "MULTIPLAYERSTRUCTUREMARKER". Select this area, then select Team Station 00 and place it on the map. Then select Team Station 01 and place it somewhere on the map. (its preferred if you place them at opposite ends of the map) Place Team Station 02 somewhere on the map *if* you want a three way fight.

5. In order for this map to function, go to the Marker tab under OBJECTS. Select TEAM 00 BASE POSITION flag and put it near team 00's space station. Next, place three TEAM 00 SPAWN POINT MARKER Flags near team 00's space station. Repeat this with the other team(s) using their team number markers.

6. To make money in the game you need mining asteroids. To get these, go to space build able under the OBJECTS tab, and select MINERAL EXTRACTOR PAD. Place these in strategic locations. Then be sure to set their faction owner to neutral or else they wont show up in game.

7. Now just save in your Custom Maps Directory and your ready to go! Other stuff like space props, and capturables will be covered in a more advanced tutorial.
