Of course they are going to do it old fashioned, because Brutal Doom's massive popularity has proven over and over again that people love that gameplay, especially with the enhancements in fatalities/gore/melee. It makes sense to start with the basics and go from there. Not sure if they will go all the way with what I liked in Brutal Doom like destroyable environmental objects, customisation and more complex map design of the pwads. It seems to me like modding is at its pinnacle & some truly great things are coming from that, where as triple A FPS games are still relatively stagnant and copying each other.
I'd be more excited if it wasn't for the price here: R$ 229,99
There is a reason why regional pricing exists, to prevent this kind of BS. From what I've seen, Fallout 4 barely sold anything here because of the price, and it seems they want to do the same thing again.

Oh, well... It's not like I don't have a lot of games (and mods) to play anyway.
Most games anymore are not worth the price tag, look at Star wars: Battlefront.
