EDIT: We are on TOP 100 and nominated for MOD OF THE YEAR!!

THANKS THANKS everyone for the amazing support!

BONUS picture here (surprise surprise!) - New article coming up super soon!

First of all, thanks for the incredible support, and the super kind words you said to us. You guys rock!

There were a few people with doubts about what the 15+ old year Half-Life engine is capable to do, and we received a few complains about it. While I personally think that graphics aren't that important, I've got a few for those that haven't decided. I can't thank enough to hzqst for helping out and supporting our project.

MOTY is about to end! Let's jump to the features!

Weapon skins

Weapons skins will be able to be customizable by using a menu and can be easily created. Weapon skins made by the community will be feature in later patches and game updates. And last but not least..

GORE system

ARRANGEMENT will be brutal. Combat is inspired on FEAR, having an AI which is super smart, and taunts the player.

There will be dynamic body dismemberment, and right now bleeding is implemented. The body and decal stay was greatly increased, so you can see the damage you did and the enemies you killed or neutralized. Also, environmental damage was carefully revised so every bullet counts and affects the world properly. A video is coming up about this.

And for those that still haven't watched the video, you can find it below:

Thanks for the amazing support again, you guys are awesome!

As said Ahoy, graphics are important, realism is not. I really enjoy Goldsouce graphical aspect, far more than more recent engines. You guys improved the graphical aspect of Goldsource, it's far nicer and it still boasts the Goldsouce charm.

In my honest opinion :

- Gameplay first.
- Graphics second.

You can't make a 100% realist game, it's impossible, not even America's Army/ArmA or whatever serious simulator is 100% realist.

Thanks for the comment ^^

Yes this is what I said, gameplay is a necessity, graphics are important, and realism is just a specific type or graphics although not necessarily the better.
Comment ça va, Solid Snake, depuis le temps? :P

Yay for FEAR esque combat!

About the Gore system, is it more like Soldier of Fortune, where limb can be shot off in a lot of ways, or is it more simplistic?

There's ways to make it like Soldier of Fortune, which in my honest opinion, is one of the best gore systems.
Sadly, that would need like a dozen of different sub-bodies. Can be done, but having into account the amount of different NPC models we have, it could take a very long time.

The system we will implement will take away a body part dynamically (via code), by 'hiding' it, and let the 'inside' be visible. A bit like L4D2. The most complicated part was the studio decals, which were done by Andrew, and those are featured in the picture. We are a step away of completing the gore system.

That, and the looting system. That would make the mod 'feature complete'.

Hope this kinda answers your question :) - cheers!

May I suggest Killing Floor 2's M.E.A.T. (Massive Evisceration And Trauma) which developers "heavily based on SoF and improved it like hell" ? ^^

Oh, and I want NVIDIA Flex for more gore and fluids. ^^

If anyone make this under GoldSource, I will ****ing love him/her <3 Youtube.com

This submodel gibbing system reminds me a bit of the stuff in "Invasion".

This mod sounds greater with each passing moment.

Take your time lads!
We shall wait patiently for this work of art to finish, keep up the great work!
