Let me list some mod features :

I am trying to recreate all original C&C Generals features, but you know, something is impossible, i don't have a list for now because all is going great.
Now let me explain why i have moved mod to RA3 engine ( RNA ):
>>It's more stable.
>>Physics engine is more powerful than C&C One.
>>Some things like dozers and Generals Promotion is only possible in RA3
>>RNA is more faster than C&C3
>>RNA has more features which helps modders to do their job quick.
>>Networking engine is way better than all C&C games had.

Ra3 engine? Not tracking anymore.
The Engine makes the Game no more than the Brain makes the Comments. In this case, at least.
Why the RA3 engine? It's really a downgrade from C&C3. Cartoony, blocky and locked. A buildgrid? Seriously, I hoped we would have gotten away from that in C&C after Generals. You cant even change the music in the game from the RA3 soundtrack.

I can, i did.
If its true what you say, then its all fine. Im working from my own experiences (Was involved in the making of The Red Alert), not just spitting out random stuff.
A build grid is classic C&C..... In fact, the lack of one is one of the biggest issue I had with Generals.
No offence intended, but just because you weren't able to figure out how to do something doesn't mean someone else can't. After all, we all don't think alike. :)
What about the main menu and all other menus that still has their default music on? Those music cannot be modified and neither does the UI on the whole main menu.
People take a look at the screenshots. Yes so its RA3 but srsly the mod doesn't look cartoony in fact thanks to the newer engine than TW the effects look stunning.

I shall upload more media with totally new maps and generals assets for people who still hate RA3 engine, when you look at it you don't even notice that it's RA3. Doing my best from this side.
The Ra3 graphic makes it look like Generals Zero Hour : Enhanced mod only brighter. I really like it. Its good to see this mod is back and kickin'

For question 2, it was possible back in C&C3 A New Experience when all maps have been modified with sky textures and a new camera look. RA3 has yet to achieve that. Also you could use JonWil's modified AptUI sidebar mod to get 12 box objects (instead of 9) to build from a Construction Yard, War Factory, etc.
1 - You need to resolve the question of the main menu music. Or you will throw a mod of "general" to the soundtrack of RA3 playing in the background?
2 - Not required. but ... want to keep the shell menu with a background map in the main menu? that map needs to have "a heaven".

Ya know i'm actually quite all right with this so long as not every unit has two abilities.
Also how will resource management in this game work? Will you attempt to simulate the old Generals model or will you be keeping the RA3 model?

Not completly true. I've done Generals promotion in C&C3. A good Dozer system is extremly tricky (I dont mean the mobile ConYard). I managed to implement a system that almost works like the Japanese ones in RA3. Just wanted to mention that. ;)
Anyway, the rest is plausible and probably a wise decision. Maybe I will also switch to RA3, if the engine can convince me.

It's very very WIP, not sure if i will even use it, C&C style building seems more convenient, but i'll do my best to keep community happy.

But now i understand the engine change, tough i would like to hear a more detailed explaination...
Still a shame that the last great game of cnc was TW3, and that they canceled theire own generals reboot wich sounded very promissing while sadly had the same exaggerating touch RA3 prooved to be something that can't carry a crappy cheap made gameplay xP
My hopes for this project is that it is not only a gen copy, but stepping a bit out, fixing issues (tough i don't remember much except the moneytrain drops of usa wich got fixed in :zh!) and bringing in some good tought proven new features like the renegade x team did with the neutral buildings and some really necessary improvements compared to original renegade, sadly they broke mlrs but it was op anyway^^
