It's saddening to see, but most people do not want to hear what God has to say. Most Christians want Christianity to be about them instead of God. They want a God just like them.
2 Timothy 4:3 - "For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear."

To true! There are far to many of those trendy churches where i am which preach from a self confidence book.
it is the cold sad reality but its all about a persons individuality and personnel relationship with God. Christianity has never been about the masses its about your relationship with God
