Anyone found a realistic and set-in-the-present-day mod for this game? All that I found until now had some realistic elements, mainly real scale tanks, aircraft and soldiers,what is very good but always with elements also very unrealistic and futuristic. I was looking for a mod that would make the game more realistic, but mods as Contra, Rise of the Reds and Reborn only made it less realistic. I really like to play C&C Generals, but I can not take it anymore. I think that if I do not find anything, or I will try to finish my own mod (which I will never end) made from my own ideas or I will stop playing this game and look for another modern rts or for some modern turn-based strategy game (a mix of the two would be even better).

Cold War Crisis is about as close as you can get realism wise for Generals ZH.
Yes, I know! I played this mod already...but it is set in the past and I was looking for not only a realistic but also modern war mod. Anyway, I guess that's it. I may have better luck with another game or waiting for another new mod.
The End of Days
Two recent Chinese mods (Modern Warfare and Peace Mission) are realistic-themed.
Peace Mission added tons of new faction/nations but sadly most of them are unplayable, while Modern Warfare pretty much aims for the graphics.
