It's like an abusive relationship where the abusing party gets praise from the victims.
Exactly, I remember how in so many situations survivors will praise their god for saving them when clearly 90% of the people around them just died horribly. It's kinda selfish if you think about it: "My god saved me because he loved me!" (but clearly didn't love the other people he killed...)
Exactly my line of reasoning when I was in a car crash... That's why I'm still atheist today.

Why do people feel the need to criticize a deity they don't believe in?
Unless they are fighting simply for the sake of fighting and feeling superior.
or because people like you try to force your silly and dangerous beliefs into everybody elses life
and make it so that our fighting is the only thing stoppping people like you from creating a second dark age
and compounded with the fact that christains have this great track record or persecuting and killing atheists (or anybody who is different)
so its not for the sake of feeling superior- its for the good of all mankind and to stop people like you from destroying it.
Sounds like you're fear-mongering. Catholics and Muslims killed people, Christians/Jews do not deliberately kill innocents or anyone who refuses to believe as they do. You're afraid of something that will not happen because the hatred you feel towards us has been jammed into your skull by modern society (which has re-written history books) and you allow select groups of sects/cults and their actions to define your view of the rest of us. There is a word for that: Ignorant.
Yes the American evanjalicals who say I have no right to be a citizen because of my beliefs and want to control my life are harmless

or a priest in a day care
Except there are no evangelicals saying that. The Westboro Baptist Church doesn't count. They hate EVERYBODY including other believers.
