Description

After renewed interest, once more I find myself making an update to the original mod I released a few years ago. The changes this time are purely aesthetic, save for the infinite medals and resources, but they are a lot more noticeable.

Having trouble installing?

+ First make sure to allow installations from "unknown sources" from the settings menu of your android device

+ If you already have an installation of the game and it is located on the SD Card, move the SD Card installation back to internal storage, then proceed to install the downloaded .apk file

+ Ensure that there is enough storage space to install the application

+ If you are installing the app from a third party file manager app like "File Manager HD", make sure to grant it permission to install apps
+ It's also possbile that there is another type of administrator permission issue preventing the app from installing

Seems like a cool mod, but I'm new to installing mods on mobile. I've set to allow installations outside of the google playstore and I have it on internal storage with enough free space, but I receive the message "app not installed". I've tried googling the solution to little result. I would appreciate any help!

Hi there, hope i'm not too late on the reply! I'm very familiar with the "App not installed" issue myself. Most commonly, I get the prompt when I try to install apps from unknown sources or from a third party file manager. Here is a list of suggestions that I hope might help!:

1. Check if your android device has its own file manager installed. It's recommended to install from the device's own file manager rather than a third party one.
2. Ensure that you have twice as enough space required. The thing with installing apks not from google play is that they're not automatically deleted. Let's say you want to install a 50mb apk file, you will need 100+ megabytes because the phone will keep both the apk and the installation.
3. Might sound weird but try restarting your phone and then reinstalling. I've had oddities where I would try to install, for example, Youtube Vance (Adless youtube) where I had to restart either the file manager or the phone entirely for it to let me install.
4. You could also try something like Apk Editor or Lucky Patcher to create a backup of the apk, delete the original, then install the backup.

Those are a couple of suggestions that might help. I do hope you get to install it eventually, and let me know if you have further issues! Thank you for visiting my mod by the way!

Thanks for the response! I figured out what was wrong. I had the unmodded version of WC3 still installed, which prevented installation. Like I said, I'm a complete noob with stuff like this, so it was a rookie mistake. I love the new asset desigms. The updated soundtrack is huge, too. I see we think alike because I always imagined Medal of Honor music when playing. Great job!

I'm very glad to hear that you got it working finally and are having fun with it! And thank you very much!

And I also think we are of the same mindset; When i got the official version off google play, i would turn off the stock music to play songs from medal of honor and call of duty in the background. You might even notice that Frontline songs are prevalent at the beginning while Rising Sun songs are more spread out. (Fun fact, thr very last song is "Take Off - Finale" from Medal of Honor Rising Sun).

Anyways, I think i've rambled enough, lol. I wish you a great rest of your day! And I hope you have lots of fun with the mod!

Hi there! Sorry for the late reply. I'm very glad that you are enjoying this game! And that it is helping you save a lot of time to just have pure fun. As per your question, I am not entirely sure whether or not I want to mod WC4 yet. I am still burnt out creating the latest version of this very mod so I probably won't be modding for a while. But the thought of modding World Conqueror 4 seems intriguing, so I might eventually release something in the future. Thank you for commenting, it made me happy to know that you're enjoying the mod! Have a great day!

Hello! I'm guessing you meant google play. It just means that you need to make sure that you have the latest version of both google play and google app services.

And also, could you somehow make a version with normal starting resources but increased income (by like 2-3 times)(medals and all three HQ resources)

Hello There! To answer your second question, I'm afraid this is the last and final version of this mod and I have no further plans to work on World Conqueror 3 any further. But as per your first question, making a mod like this can range from pretty easy to pretty difficult depending on what you want done. If you just wish to modify visual assets like the Unit Uniforms or Boats, etc, you can just modify the images in Photoshop. However, changing stuff like starting resources for example requires a specific tool. Let me give you a list of things you might want:

+ APK Editor (Phone App): An app that let's you open up any installed app or any apk file to extract and/or replace in game assets with equivalent modified files. Then rebuild the app once everything is done. Here is the link:
Mediafire.com

+ Any sort of File Manager: You may want to get a file manager unless your comfortable with your phone's base file manager. This would be to keep your modified files organized and stuff like that. I personally use one called "File Manager HD". Here is the link:
Mediafire.com

+ Lucky Patcher: Not necessary, however it is a cool app to use for when you download an app that has ads, which you are able to remove using this. Here is the link:
Mega.nz

+ PhotoShop CS6 or any other photo editing software you are comfortable using: These would be useful for modifying the look of certain assets that are available in image form such as many of the game's HUD elements.

+ Total Commander: This is where the real potential of where modding this game comes in. TotalCommander is a tool that can help you modify most of the games ".json" files, (essentially .ini or .prx files). These .json files can contain anything from campaign mission rewards to troop damage ranges, etc. However, it takes a lot of trial and error to figure out. Here is a link to one of the best text tutorials I found on the European War 4 website:
European-war-4.boards.net

Welp, that's pretty much it!

I tried but it always says "app not installed. The package seems to be corrupt." :(

Do you perhaps already have the base version of the app installed? If so, i’d recommend deleting the base version first, then installing the apk file. Other than that, I can’t offer much help besides making sure “Allow Unknown Sources” is enabled, or restarting the phone and attempting to install again.

I'm afraid I have no clue how the modding scene is like for World Conqueror 3. You could try and check the community-website for European War 4 as there could be some IOS mods for WC3 & WC4 lying around. It may not be of much help but here is one forum post that serves as a guide for modding WC3 (most likely for android only), here is the link:

European-war-4.boards.net

Aside from that, I wish you a great rest of your day!

I honestly have no clue. If both versions use the .json file format, it might be a possibility. However, you would have to deconstruct the downloaded apk file, and find the correct .json files to replace. Considering World Conqueror 3 is a Windows store app, you might find it in your Windows User's %AppData folder. Even then, Android, Iphone, and Windows .json files may not be compatible with each other in the first place.

Does this have a virus

That's a fair question. It indeed does not have a virus. Otherwise, it would have not gotten approved by the administrators who approved the file to begin with. You may download this without any risk to your device.

On my phone here, I'm having some ui elements getting cut off. Do you have a remedy for this. Like lowering screen res or something? Things on the right are cut off

I'm afraid I don't know how to help you in that situation. The only thing I can think of would be to set your phone to auto rotate, then constantly flip the phone until it fixes itself. It is very possible that the app just isn't fully compatible with your phone. I'd suggest tweaking your phone's settings for a possible solution.

I'm afraid not, this will only work on Android devices as of its current state

Hi, for some reason, there is a black bar on the left side of the screen that isn't usually there in the vanilla version. Normally this wouldn't matter but it blocks the next turn button and makes the game quite literally unplayable. Help?

Hello there! I'm sorry for the delay in my reply. Fun fact, you posted your comment on my birthday!
Let's see, it's possible that your device may not be fully compatible with the app. I unfortunately wasn't able to test this mod on more than three phones. An HTC, an LG, and a ZTE, to which I was lucky to have the mod work on all three versions. This may sound weird, but try clearing the data and cache of the app in your settings. Or you could try to reinstall the app entirely. Or, if you have it, you could use lucky patcher to try and rebuild the app to work on your device!

How do you install the modded version of the game so I can install the mod

Super late reply, I apologize. I left some instructions up there. If you want to keep your old save data, just install the apk file on top of your current base wc3 installation.

If it doesn't work, or if you don't care about keeping your save data or don't have the base unmodded version installed, just install the apk without having the base WC3 installed. Make sure to have double the space needed since installing an apk manually will not delete the apk file.
