Description
The best & most capable F-7 ever produced, this 3.5 generation fighter features Beyond-visual-range capability, double delta wing along with top on the line avionics and radar. Built specifically for Bangladesh Air Force, she is expected to enter service by 16 December 2012.
In other words, she is a Jf-17/F-16 in a F-7's body.
3.5 generation fighter in 2012? If its cheap it could work
Each aircraft costs 9 million a piece.
3.5 generation? What are they going to shoot down? Crop planes?
Nope those pesky Burmese F-7 and Mig-29SE if they ever try poke there nose into our territory. :D
Beside they are mere Stop-gap to keep our Tuhudercats squadron operational (Currently operating F-7MB's) till those Su-27-SM2 are purchased.
cheap to produce, cheap to maintain, can protect the air from ilegal aircraft, also in a war the air superiority fighters could fly in higher altitude with awacs support and these at low altitud attacking ucavs and helicopters
