btw mi-28 also has cargo compartment as mi-24, just too small to carry troops, there enough space only for couple wounded soldiers.
so if one heli will be shot down, second could land and rescue pilots.
its just like Hind: there is cargo carry ability, but it mostly never been used...
Except when they carried more rockets and did quick reloads... Russians couldn't get more resourceful.
why do you think so? mi-24 has troop compartment and can carry up to 8 paratroopers with full gear, and it was primary used for this purpose during some wars.

If you want replace so unit from A to B, and you have Hind, how it would be?
They'll use Hip to transport troops, and Hind will be as support choppa, dunno why...
