The Year is now 2020. Three years have passed after the terrible accident that nearly erased all human life on earth. All that's is left are the empty shells of the once prospering cities and town. The Life we knew and everyone we loved are now gone. The few that survived the initial outbreak and what was to follow, lurking ominously in the shadows counted those who had gone as the lucky ones. The forsaken few who did survive, emerged into a world of void hope; a lonely, empty place that is desolate and unforgiving. After the near apocalypse the survivors emerged into the daylight; each with there own need for food, water, shelter and protection from the elements. They all have a common enermy, the dead and each other. All desperate survivors with the same common goal... What's going to set this game from the saturated sea of games in the same genre?
We are aiming to create a real world location enviroment with high levels of detail. We believe there is a few fundamental aspects of a survival game that most games of the same genre seem to neglect. These things we belive are so important to making a survival game, such as having seasons and weather that is unforgiving just like in any real life survival situations.
Having a real life weather and season system we believe this will make players think twice about there next decision and makes for more interesting gameplay as the players will be constantly having to adapt in order to survive. Making it less predictable no matter how well prepared you think you are there will be something that will catch you out.
We are also looking at maybe implementing things such as your characters mental state and how this can affect the way your character eats and drinks.. just think when we are happy we eat and drink but when we are distressed your less likely to want to eat at that time, which if this occurs at a time when you need food and calories to push on and carry out a task to survive.. well that could be the difference between life and death.
As i say these are a few ideas and we need to look into if its possible to implement them..
We are also welcome to surgestions from people and there ideas will be really important to us so that we can make a game for all to enjoy.
I would be happy to hear any surgestions you may have also on how we could stand out from the field.
