WazHack is a procedurally-generated dungeon game. This is not a button mashfest - you can spend all the time you need contemplating your actions. With over 300 different types of items to be found, there are many different ways to deal with the more than 130 different types of monsters. You will have to use your sword or staff as much as your inventory. It's not a game of plodding to the end and winning (though it is winnable), it's about experiencing the attempt... and learning lessons that will help your next valiant attempt!

Today, Valve have announced Steam Greenlight , a new way for indie games to get into steam. I think it's an awesome idea and it will give a lot of indie games (including wazhack) a way to get into steam. What do you think? |

I'm certainly going to list it as soon as Greenlight goes live. Steam seem, like Desura, to be pretty good about activating game keys off-site, so I think it could be good for both players and Indie developers. |

Just do not abandon Desura in the future. (I know you are not intending that currently, but do not let Steam be the only method of buying your games at some point.) Steam is a double edged sword. It has benefits, but it can also be a royal bitch about some things. I strongly suggest making saves either local or keeping them entirely off Steam's awful "Cloud". Steam's Cloud-Based storage is a nice idea, but they messed up badly with the implementation thereof. If you read up on other game forums like Dungeons of Dredmor, you will note that the best advice they can offer to not lose your savegames and settings is to entirely disable the Steam Cloud. Nonetheless, I would welcome Steam as another method of buying Wazhack. We can work out the details of that awful cloud mess later. |
