Project: Warcry (Working title) is a 3D science fiction RTS game based around squad, vehicular and aerial combat with base building, resource gathering and split tech trees. Set a thousand years from now between the sinister Human and the brute Hyperion armies with plans for two additional races. Our main focus with this project is a competitive online experience.

For the last few days I've been uploading images to our page, slowly trickling glimpses to our watchers. Now, everyone else gets a firsthand look at Project: Warcry!

Since we started our site on Moddb we’ve been a bit… lazy, in terms of updating the site that is. Now we have been slaving like coal miners behind the scenes, overcoming indie hurdles, plotting and brooding over the best design elements and of course, struggling with an art direction! If you check out our image section you’ll see many looks and textures for several assets. You see, we are aiming to create a master piece; A game, not for wealth or fame, but for pure fun. We want players to have a genuine feeling of awe while entering our imagination. We want the big names to ask themselves, ‘How did an idie group accomplish what we with all our millions and dozens of employees could not?’. Sound a bit pretentious? Yes! It does and it is! Why aim yourself at what you know you’re capable of when you can shoot for the stars? True development for Warcry has only begun in the last six months, and already we’ve accomplished the following: If you check out our image section you’ll see many looks and textures for several assets. And much more that is under way. How can we do this? Because everyone on the team works for Warcry. Not for me or Elseware Entertainment. Those guys going to school and work with three hours of sleep are doing so because they genuinely love what we are creating. And as I always say, when you love what you’re doing, others will love what you’re doing. We’re creating a game with a single goal- scratch that, a single mission. Build the best damn RTS on the market. Even if we complete the mission and the game is blown away by big name games or a better indie, we can hold our head high as our armies battle it out alone on our servers. We will strive to give you, the hardcore real time strategy fan and enthusiast alike, the game that has been denied you for so long. With our favorite titles selling out to graphic whores and ignoring basic fundamentals that make an RTS an RTS, it’s up to the Indie community to step in. We intend to do that and support the community with updates, bonus packs and listening to their opinions.
