VVVillainous is a strategy/logic/visual novel hybrid, putting the player into the iron-clad shoes of a dark foreman working for the most powerful construction conglomerate of evil underground empire. You will outfit dungeon rooms with traps in our strategic "reverse platformer" mode, using your wits to lure mighty heroes of overworld into them, then will romance the hottest babes of corporate hell in our visual novel mode (all in a not overly serious, dark comedy flavoured kind of way).
The reasons for this delay are rather trivial - so we've had a 3d modeller and he was, like, totally into making indie games, only then BAM! And he wasn't. Ordinary story. Now, it's not like we try to push all the blame on him - we're talking about doing a ton of (fueled mostly by enthusiasm) work here so the desire to pull out is rather understandable, besides, on our part, we could've also done some things better, so... So there's no point to discussing in further, tbh - mistakes accounted, lessons learned.
And we'd probably have a huge artistic wars with him anyways - we really like the stylistics of our webcomic so, ideally, we'd want to make it in some kind of cell-shaded, black-and-white, absolutely noire-ish 3d (and that's what we'll aim for), whereas he strived for making more traditional looking games. That was a loveboat that wasn't destined to sail for long.
