AKA 'PROJECT BLUE REBIRTH'

A semi-plotless campaign that is basically consists of boss-rush like missions, which loosely based on N64 game Aerofighers Assault/Sonic Wings Assault.

It basically contains either remastered/modified levels of Aerofighters Assault plus some additions/recreation of the shmup version levels (i.e 'normal' Tokyo level as in the original Aerofighters and 'sunken' Tokyo level as in Aerofighters Assault, or fighting stage 2 boss, Leviathan in the harbor instead of in the middle of the ocean). Not many plots going on except for rather short pre-mission briefing describing the next mission, or some kind of hilarious dialog in vein of this:

Besides, what else let you play as a freakin' dolphin flying a prototype jet (YF-23 in the shmup version, X-29 in AA)?

What it should have:
-huge boss at each of the level! From huge quad-leg mecha, oversized tanks, to weaponized Concordes and MiG-31 Firefox wannabe!
-a freakin' talking dolphin flying a prototype jet!
-various locales around the world as per the original game itself (New York, Tokyo, Red Square, Bering Strait, Paris, and so on)
-ridiculous main/sub/SPW for every plane/character! (piercing lasers! energy kunais! aerial mines! fireballs! tidal waves! NINJA BEAM!)
-branching paths depending on how *good* you are (read: score)
-spaaaaaaaaaaaace mission

What it needs:
-prop planes, maybe (for Aerofighters 3 levels)
-branching mission structure for the campaign
-take-off/landing? (I remember you have to land on your White Base-like flying aircraft carrier in Aerofighters Assault

Playable planes:
A-10, F-14A/F-14B, F-15J, F-117A/F-117N, F/A-18C, F-2A/FS-X, AJ-37, JAS-39, F-104, Tornado, AV-8B, Il-102, Su-35 (say hello to my little friend), Ka-50 (pls), or Yak-141 as substitute, Rafale C, YF-23

Playable prop planes:
F-4U, A6M2 Zero, P-61 Black Widow, M6A1 Seiran, Do-335 Pfeil, Ju-87 Stuka, Westland Whirlwind, Fairey Swordfish, Il-2 Strumovik, Polikarpov I-16, MiG-3, Dewoitine D.520

As long as we're talking about remakes, why not let any character fly any plane but give them access to different SP weapons? (i.e. Hien gets those energy kunais on any plane, whitey gets naval mines, etc)

I'd forget about the WWII stuff, I think strikers did that better

Maybe....otherwise, I also considering the idea to giving each character a set of planes, just like AFDS.
