Unreal Tournament is the sucessor to the awesome game that was Unreal. Boosting the most advanced gaming engine when it was released, this game kicks some serious arse. Unreal Tournament's got it all without a doubt: ton's of amazing levels, kick-ass weapons, brain-melting modes of play, unbelievably deadly bots, and a slew of other features bound to have your happiness glands working overtime! I have not even mentioned the mod's either, and boy are they bountiful and bloody brilliant, with titles such as Strike Force. So give this game and spin, then crank up a few of it's mods and you will be wondering how you lived without this game!

About The New UNREAL TOURNAMENT "Video Drivers".

Posted by on - Basic UI/HUD

Note that these new drivers OpenGL and D3D9 though enabling super performance dont offer the best graphics quality of the original D3D. So the figures now appear much darker and also the lights more extreme. Maybe a good idea if the graphic card settings allow lowering contrast.

Fair point but let's be honest here, the source code for Unreal(Gold) and UT99 have never been released.Kinda hard to make a renderer like OpenGL and D3D9/8 while doing things that have been done with Quake 1/2's Source Ports (Tenebrea,Quake2XP,Darkplaces,ect.) without the complete source code.Which Epic won't release.

And the Video Drivers were only made to allow newer machines to play UnrealGold and UT99 without the worry of the drivers causing crashes (Which the OLD OpenGL drivers and Direct 3D drivers are prone for doing on newer tech.)

Though maybe these dll stuffs arent too unworthy after all since
they seem to work extremely well when hosting UT game servers!
This way the players can use the old D3D and magically experience a
total graphic lag free joined game with estimated 200% performance.
