Removing the black & white filter when in shadows + other neat features like invisibility, god mode, free cam and a no-crosshair camera preset.
"How will I be able to tell when I'm hidden without a black & white screen telling me?" - The ammo count hud will still change colors when transitioning from darkness to light: black hud when in light, white hud when in shadow.
Check out the related reddit post on this mod!
Included in the .zip file are two files: a modded Conviction_game.exe and an .ini file. Place both in your [installation directory]\src\system folder. Once done, you're ready to go. Launch the game and use one of the keybinds in-game. Back up the original executable if you want to revert this mod!
The modded executable is just the original, but hex-edited. If, for some reason, the modded .exe presents issues or doesn't work, perform the following with a hex-editor of your choice (HxD was originally used):
Navigate to [installation directory]\src\system folder and load Conviction_game.exe into your hex editor. Search (Ctrl + F) for "ConvictionInputsRetail" and rename it to "ModvictionInputsRetail". Once done, save the changes.
The following keybinds are used to enable whatever you want. Can be changed in the .ini file to your preference.
F1 - Toggle B&W filter
F2 - Invisibility
F3 - God mode
F6 - Load the very first checkpoint of the level you're in. Esssentially a quick restart button without having to quit to menu.
F7 - Toggle Freecam. For the curious among us. Your walk/run keybind (default Shift) swaps camera speed.
F8 - Fixed cam, for going back to your player model.
F9 - Cycles between 4 camera presets. Interestingly, presets 3 and 4 remove the crosshair:
1.Default over-the-shoulder camera
2.A zoomed-in and slightly raised default camera
3.Directly centered behind the back
4.Same as 3, but a slightly lower camera position
Really man, so much thanks for do this mod. Is the most complete and awesome avaiable. Very appreciated for your job, is my favorite game <3
If possible, i wanna ask to make a key to disable all the hud for more immersion. Anyway, thanks.
Hi, glad you like the mod.
There is already a mod by TheJanitor that disables the HUD and the last known position, you can find it here - Moddb.com
Could you help me to change the soundtrack in the game? I have already tried everything but i cant find a way
Only work in Deniable Ops?
Works in campaign and co-op, too!
Great mod
Would it be possible to bind Unlimited Ammo/Unlimited Gadgets to this mod or is that not possible like it is with Invisibility/God mode?.
I believe these commands are the developer's debug mode, thus I doubt they had unlimited ammo/gadgets. You can use the mod in conjunction with a simple trainer, just mind the overlapping keybinds.
I could never find a trainer that had an Unlimited Gadgets cheat unfortunately.
after i installed the mod, i tried to run the game. i got an error "Ubisoft error code : 1". but before i installed it the game works fine. any idea why i got this error? thanks.
Ubisoft Error Code 1 is a Uplay authentication error. The executable you get from the mod is taken from the latest version (1.04). If you have an outdated, pirated copy, that might be it.
Really nice work. Would Save/Load location (teleportation) be possible? Some trainers had it, but not anything that is compatible with newest version of 1.04..
Works great in deniable ops! But...critical error when I try to play campaign. Steam version, updated, legal copy.
Hey, I tried using this on the Steam version. This mod did work in Deniable Ops and it even fixed the bugged Insurgency DLC maps (they don't show up unless you install this mod), but it causes the singleplayer campaign to crash during the intro cutscenes. Anything I can do to fix this?
Doesn't seem to work with the latest Steam version. Just crashes when you load the single player campaign like the previous comment said. I tried to hex edit the exe file myself but then Steam gave an error and couldn't start the game.
I'm running the game through steam, but the the mod doesn't work for me do you know of any reason as to why this is?
EDIT: only works for the Ubisoft store version of splinter cell conviction.
yeah, I've just figured that out too. It's a pity, I really wanted to try out the camera presets.
