The game Rainbow Six 3:Raven Shield sometimes refuses to work at resolutions that you choose. The bug I talk about is not about hardware requirements, and occurs both,on slow low end PC's and also on best machines you could have. Both on AMD and Intel processors. Both on Ati and Nvidia grapic cards. And worst of all,no patch or update has solved this bug completely.Game menu works in 640x480 resolution and has difficulties switching to resolution you have chosen when the level loads completely. The game will start playing with your nervs sooner or later. But,happilly, the solution is really simple. And does not require any knowledge besides knowing how to read lol.THE IN GAME RESOLUTION MUST BE EQUAL TO DESKTOP RESOLUTION.That's all.If above rule is fulfilled, you will be able to play the game right. If you had problems I told you about, those problems will be history. That's it.Thanks for your attention.Written by Dr.Styropore on 14th October 2011

thats not the issue people are having...
it's common sense that desktop resolution should equal the game resolution.
the issue people are referring to is that the menu remains in 800x600 regardless of the set resolution.
It's a function of how the menu was designed, first of all FOR monitors that display 800x600, therefore if it was upscaled it would still be blurry.
What SHOULD be done to fix this is a mod that changes the menu interface to a new, higher resolution one. I have yet to find such a mod for Ravenshield, however other games have done it many times (like cs, etc) and maybe it's possible here.
