Timecrawl is a turn based game, inspired by rogue-like & dungeon crawling games and also by books & movies with time travel content. The main idea of the game is to add a time traveling ability to characters, which can be used to accomplish tasks or complete missions. As time traveling is the main focus of the game, we were thinking about and trying out (only on computers, for real!) several ideas (cloning, history changes, death) we know from books or movies. There is already an implemenation of a basic ruleset of time jumps. Another focus of Timecrawl are proper time related processes, like growing of plants or more abstract, growing older of every object (common cause of death for player characters). Game mechanics like items, attributes and skills are implemented in a basic way as they have to be made to run forward and backward. Modability is very important for the game to experiment with time travel mechanics, so most content (e.g. scenarios, histories) is fully customizable.
