Hello! Cześć! Bonjour! Hallo! ¡Hola! Olá! Привет! Ciao!

We released Timberborn Demo for Steam Game Festival back in February – it replaced the closed beta we had been running for a while. It is a brand new experience with a lot of improvements, including new beaver models – and it turned out to be a smash hit, putting us in the top three most played demos across the event. It also catapulted us to the Top 50 Global Wishlists. Since then, the demo also made its way to GOG.

In light of that rather unexpected success, we postponed the Early Access launch and published a list of things to be done before we can announce the Early Access launch date. The list included translating the game – and we can now cross that point off.

A few days ago, we released an update to the demo that added seven out of ten new language versions (*). It also added new music by Zofia Domaradzka, including a new main menu theme, and improved the performance. What certainly catches an eye, however, is how the game evolves in terms of looks.

Please have a look at the comparison video we recorded back in March.

And now check out the tweaked version, including brand new particle effects, as of May 2021.

Now, regarding the localization: if you're a veteran who wants to play Timberborn in another language – now it's the time. Be sure to let us know what you think about the translation. We want to make it right for launch. And if you're new to the game: hail and well met! Please don't starve your beavers.

Speaking of which: from now on, the best place to report any issues – both translation- and gameplay-related – is our public bug tracker. It doesn't require registration and will help us prioritize the work for launch and beyond. Please check it whenever you encounter a problem with Timberborn!

(*) We wanted to say こんにちは!, 안녕하세요! , and 你好!here as well. Sadly, we encountered a nasty bug with the engine so even though the Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese localizations are ready to be implemented we had to hold that off. We'll add them ASAP. Thank you for your patience.

If you're interested in the full patch notes, you'll find them on Steam.
