Picking up where TMC left off. 25 years have passed. Vinnie now an adult has drifted towards gangs. The world is falling apart all around him, and there are whispers that the long gone reds may be on the rise once more. Vinnie must decide whether to risk his life, or turn to an old friend who is now 55, to help him protect his friends, and to help him prevent the end of the world. In the end it may not be enough, as earth resources dwindle down to nothing, and the end of mankind begins.

The biggest issue of the future may be police state rule/ police brutality/ privacy invasion, and wars over water. So being set in the future T IV may incorporate such things into the background of the game to give it a more diverse feel, and to widen the story possibilities. Of course being a thug, you are interested in money, water will = money in the future, so your gang could be heavily involved in that, causing issues with the police. The way the story sits now is the reds are back, and an age old war is sparked into action yet again, aside from that we are focusing mainly on the HUD, the weapons, the sounds, and the vehicles/future elements. Main development on T IV will begin this summer when T MC hits the web.

And on a side note, im just going to say this now. This is THE FINAL THUG related game. After this the series will not be seen or heard from again. As such this game is over the top dramatic, and successfully concludes the story begun all those years ago. It really has been a fun ride, ive enjoyed making each Thug game equally, and thats really been such a privilege, to enjoy what your doing, to care about the few fans i have, and to give them the best i can. And its really humbling to be able to bring the series to an end, after the HUGE development gap between 2 and Modern Combat, i and many others were starting to think the story would never go on, would never have an end. Im very proud of whats been done in this series from 2 through to this, and even though ive been cursed with not knowing how to code or texture, ive made use of what came with the engine and put it together in a way im satisfied with. And i still think its hilarious that Thugs most iconic feature, its yellow tint, was a mistake. A misunderstanding, and i wouldnt go back in time to change it. I think it feels just right. So thank you to those who have stuck with me, and i hope this game when it comes out will be enjoyable for you. Its been fun. FIN
Where is thug 3.
Thug: MC is the third game in the main series. It will be out sometime this summer. The order of the main series is as follows. Thug, Thug 2, Thug: Modern Combat, Thug IV.
So your making thug 4 before releasing thug 3?
No they are being made in tandom, with Thug IV being about a year behind TMC. TMC will be released first as it is the closest to being done and is before this game story wise. The reason for starting work on Thug IV when TMC is nearing the end of its development, is to shorten the wait in between games. Rather then having another 3 year wait (Thug 2's 2009 release to TMC's 2012 release) Starting work on T IV while getting TMC done and released is a great way to chop out the wait. By the time TMC is done and out, this will be half done, and therefore the wait will be half as long.
And there is something really cool that happens in TMC that connects it to this game story wise, which im really excited to show off. But sadly it is a spoiler and your going to have to play TMC to find out :c Im really struggling to not reveal it. I want it to be one of those things where you play the game, then the year after when this one comes out your like WHOA WAIT A MINUTE.
Ill post some screens tonight, but anyways, this game is being made along side TMC. Both games will see a release around the same time. With TMC this summer. and T IV in January sometime. All games being made are fully on scedule for there intended release dates. TMC- ALTERNA 2, DF 2, and now this. Freedom 2 is an ongoing project.
