The Space Kats & The Mechanized Shadow Windows, Mac game

Fend off terrifying mechanical attackers by controlling and manipulating the light sources of the ship, moving the Kats safely through a hostile environment while fending off an onslaught of killer robots hell-bent on their destruction. Players will use tools like Flares, Turrets and Mines to secure sections of the ship and protect their flanks, while they push through the darkness towards the next generator.

Built in Unity by a group of QANTM Melbourne students as their final project, The Space Kats & The Mechanized Shadow is a strategy game like no other. The player is entirely reliant on the current lighting situation in the darkness of space. No lights? Robots will sneak up on you from the shadows and attack without warning. By using dynamic light sources like Lanterns and Flares, as well as restoring power to sections of the ship with Generators, the player will slowly light the ship and take control.
Currently in Alpha, The Space Kats will eventually feature potentially limitless procedural levels and a custom level editor, as well as a prebuilt campaign.
