Hey man, keep up the awesome work with these old settlers games! Do you still recommend your K Balance mod in conjunction with all your others?
The balance mod you are talking about makes the playthrough a bit different. It's not necessary. All missions are still passable, and in shorter time - that is for sure. However, the majority prefers the vanilla experience.
I am trying to install this add-on.
But it doesn't work.
I already have the 10th anniversary files, installed the add-on but running s2dng_addon.exe has no effect.
How can I install this patch?

What do you mean by "I already have the 10th anniversary files"? Were you able to start the game without the Add On?
I just signed up. I am the one who commented above.
First, "I already have the 10th anniversary files" meant that I had the Settlers II 10th anniversary installed.
I purchased the game through GOG and installed it. My game's version is 11757.
As far as I understand, extract the provided "Patch.exe" with 7-zip and overwrite the files in the 10th anniversary folder(in "bin" folder). I've tried applying "K.Patch" and it works well. But the viking patch doesn't run.
Is there something I am doing wrong?
P.S Is nationality an issue? I'm Korean.
Oh, the K.Patch. I should update its name to Balance Mod. There were fixes that were moved to the widescreen fix. This is why I have to rename it.
The problem is that the "K.Patch" cannot be installed between the 10th Anniversary and the Vikings Add-on.
But I cannot recommend the K.Patch (Balance mod) if you play for the first time.

The reason I installed the balance mode was to find out if there was anything wrong with my Settlers II 10th anniversary file because the Viking patch didn't run.
In the "5)" in the description you wrote, bin, data, and dataaddon folders are specified. The "patch.exe" you provided contained only the bin folder. Did I misunderstand?

The "Vikings 2009 Patch" only replaces files from "Die Siedler II: Die nächste Generation - Gold Edition" from 2009 that are newer then the files from the 2007 releases.
You could try to uninstall the whole game, then remove the "C:/GOG/The Settlers II - 10th Anniversary" folder, so all the mods are uninstalled. And then try installing the game from the beginning.
Select "Remove user data and save files" when uninstalling the game. (There's a cheat to skip missions - there are no statistics in the game how many times you used them etc.)

I can finally find the cause.
The version I have is the 2007 release.
Can I get the 2009 release from that link?

As far as I know, there is a Korean translation patch made by a Korean other than me. Do you need that patch?
Vikings Add-on from the Gold Edition = Vikings AddOn 2007 release + 2009 Patch.
This is the only difference.
The game should run when installing the 2007 Vikings Add-on for the 10 the anniversary, when applying this 2009 Patch.

Did you follow the installation instruction from the description?
You have to enter the game path, where you have installed the Vikings add-on.
This patch also removes the necessity for having a physical CD with SecuROM to start the game. I can't see it mentioned anywhere and it's a deal braker for me, so just want to leave the comment here :)
