Terracore Adventures is a game currently under development by Play-Bit Entertainment, a small group of indie dudes down in Melbourne, Australia. Inspired by the classic 2D digging games of yesteryear and disappointed by the “me-to” nature of most games on Facebook. Terracore Adventures is a game that blends a mixture of arcade mining action with RPG elements like experience points and upgrading equipment. I took these photos to show you dudes my open office space. And to show what kind of environment I work in. I came in on a Sunday so there not many people here.
I got an open office desk about 5 months ago. The primary reason being was that after spending 12 months in my room working away I had finally reached a zenith of procrastination and de-motivation. I do advocate that you can work productively from home. But in that regard there needs to be a separate room from where you sleep, which is an option not available to me as it’s a family house with no studies.
My desk is fairly plan. At my previous job I filled my desk with as much toys and crap as I could. I feel that in retrospect cluttering the desk serves as more of a distraction to me then an inspiration. I’ve found working in a cleaner environment helps me to focus on the work that needs to get done.
