SurviveRL (working title) is NOT another survival first person game. Read on please.
It is a concept where the world persists around the player. Actions have cause and effect. Killing an enemy, helping a creature can generate an outcome much later in the game.
Multiplayer and modding support are part of the building blocks to the code, making for replayability and extensibility.
There will be a single player campaign/story mode also.
The project members have never stopped on this. We spent a large amount of time reconsidering the goal of the codebase, and whether we can do anything better visually.
The result has been a rework of the terrain engine over the last year, as well as some other code rewrite that we can talk about in another post.
Survival games are definitely interesting, and we think we can do something based on some type of survival, that will be exciting to play.
Keep watching this please, we will make some announcements in the near future.
Current development status for SurviveRL, with information on multiplayer and terrain progress.
First, apologies for not uploading a screenshot each day, as was in the past. That should be back soon :) This week, had me integrating multiplayer support...
We would like as many comments as possible with feature wishes we should add to the upcoming alpha release.
Is there going to be spells like fireball, ice bolt and things like that?
Hi,
Yes. We have all of those particle effects already. I'll make some tests next week and post some screenshots of those spell effects in combat.
Ok cool
i dont know how i feel about the health bars from the new screenshots,i think they should look more medieval like
Can you explain a little more please?
you should make them look cooler instead of just green bars, maybe make some kind of border around it
a farming system, where you can have cows, pigs and other animals that you can tame/catch in the wild and take care off.
and a field farmer system, were you can grow crops, like farming simulation just in a fantasy world so instead of machines, animals can do the work or yourself as a charecter.
interacktion with the npc, marreige, breeding both animals and humans, a hate/love system.
Farming is a good idea, and simple enough to code.
for me a good game also needs a costemize system
(sorry for the spelling)
for weapons, armor, cloth, art like the ability too make art in the game something like you can upload a picture in too a frame or something
Interesting, not sure though how to make a customisation system at the moment that fits in the code. Will look at it again later
