Multiplayer
This week, we added some more features to the multiplayer code. Now, the connecting clients auto look for the server on the LAN. This makes it much easier to start a LAN game.
Android connecting to PC
A smartphone with Android OS was successful att connecting to a SurviveRL PC server. This was a great breakthrough. We "upgraded" a PC client to run its internal server, by simply pressing an onscreen button (one click), and then just choosing "Multiplayer" on the Android build. It autoconnected, and both players were running around together in the same game.
We will continue adding multiplayer functions over time.
Terrain
We also managed to make huge progress on the terrain engine. It looks incredible, but we are waiting a little longer before publishing screenshots of this.
Finite State Machine
For the time being, we are coding our own state machine in the game. There are some reasons for this, regarding the changes we want to make to our current AI code. More information on this over the coming weeks.
