It took longer than it really should have but by 2050, humanity has finally colonized Mars. The leader of the effort is an entrepreneur named Jeff Murray. Rather than live on the surface of the Mars, People have made their homes deep underground. The city and all its supporting facilities are buried deep down, safe from the inhospitable climate of the surface.
Dr. West migrated to Mars recently at the personal invitation of Jeff Murray. Dr. West has been working on important research which he had hoped might lead to a cure for the Alzheimer's Disease that has afflicted his wife. From the moment he arrived at the colony, strange and terrible things have been happening....
In Subterrain you fill the shoes of Dr. West, the apparent lone survivor of the underground city of Mars. Do what you must to fight, survive, escape, or otherwise amongst limited resources and relentless enemies. Your worst enemy will be your own carelessness...
The game focuses on the following game play mechanics
Survive
It's you against an army of infected Martian colonists... better take a piss! And don't forget to eat something or you won't last long! The infected are not the only dangers the lurk beneath the surface of the red planet. Sickness, bleeding, bone fractures, exhaustion, hypothermia, and starvation are stalking your every move. Ultimately your own carelessness will be your worst enemy. Use your wits and resources to survive long enough and you might just unlock the mysteries of Subterrain.
Combat
Chop, bash, slash, and blast the infected with melee weapons, bombs, and energy guns. Of course, you can always beat them to a pulp with your bare hands if you don't want to get your weapons dirty. It's you against the world, so be sure to use tactics and fight smart!
Craft
The Mars base is equipped with advanced 3D-printing technology to help you craft weapons, parts, gears, and suits. The bio-research lab allows you to analyze the leftovers of dead enemies. Research allows you to create chemical boosts that will give you an edge against the environment and enemies.
Explore
The world of Subterrain is a vast underground facility on mars. Feel free to explore the colony, search, and loot everything (we won't judge). Hidden ventilation ducts provide access to hidden rooms, and an underground train connects the different parts of the city. Careful searching will reveal hidden items, doors, and entrances to secret places. Just don't get lost!

Full controller support
Game pad controller mapping
We have finally implemented full game pad controller suppport. It still needs to be polished a bit, but everything should be functional and the game is fully playable using the game pad alone.

Making to the full game release is very important milestone for Subterrain, but it is not the only and the end of the road for Subterrain. We have some awesome plan for post full game release so check them out here!
The list of stuffs in here isn't 100% guaranteed to be implemented. It all depends on how well the game does so we have budget to keep improving the game.
We will of course.. make patch and bug fixes to anything that is already in the game no matter what the out come of the full release is.
- Coop multiplayer - This is the biggest update and it will only happen if the game significantly does well because this kind of update will require many months of focused development.
- Random map tile editor - This tool will let you create the room tiles that can be spawned during random map generation.
- Alternative ending with West's personal story line - We already have done some work on this. This has a good chance of getting in the game through a free update.
- More background stories and little sub missions that can enrich the game.
- More background music. - We have some kind musicians working on this already.
- UI scaling option for very high resolution.
- Randomization of important key locations.
- Randomization of all other ground floor levels except Central control and prison.
- Up-gradable repair machine.

This game is awesome! I have just register an account in order to write the comments. I found a bug in the shop system. There are two LR Accuracy mod C but no LR gun battery. Does the mod C substitute the battery by mistake? Hope to add more armor and weapon! I think the class key pass are not enough. Only a few were found in game. Why the key pass is a consumable thing? Is that mean that the door will "eat" the key pass?
Weapon system will be changed completely. And I agree about key pass stuff. Thanks for your input!
