The first new Starpires (Starpires.com) universe since the games original launch is now open to players. Though there has been nearly 100k signups for Starpires, previously all players were added to the same Starpires universe. This meant that you were often trying to move up the rankings against players that may have been playing for over a year.
Alpha Sector the first of many new Starpires servers will give players a fresh start at the game. It also includes some much needed tweaks to game balance and feature enhancements. It's planned to launch additional servers over time, many of which may incorporate very different game mechanics, speeds and overall goals.
All servers will be accessed via a single account on Starpires, and a "command center" is provided allowing players to switch between or create empires on new servers. Within the first 24 hours since Alpha Sector was brought online over 1,300 empires have been created.

I love this game and play it daily. It's very simple, and at the same time strategy and planning can go deep. There are a lot of options to work with or against other players, and there are a lot of ways to build yourself up and attack others.
The core of the game itself though is simple and quick to get into. Ditto for Nesh82, more turns please!
An excellent game!
You can experience all the aspects of running a large galactic empire from managing your resources and army force to entering conflicts and making alliances with other players empire. I like the diplomacy and how the communication between players flow. Merging forces together to hit larger empires is a very cool thing. Through research you can gain some pretty cool abilities like adding some more power to your defense/offence or spying strategy. At first i had some trouble getting around(until i played a few turns), but then i got addicted! More turns please!!! :) 9/10
