{HEROIC}Doci, That site has nothing but Heaps and Heaps of remote-download/install malware and general viruses. Same with other types of extractor programs' sites (ex: IZarc, Zipline, Winzip, 7zip, freerarextractor, peazip, unziprar, and softonic). Though it may take a long time, compressing the mod into a standardized .Zip format is not only safer for you guys, but its also safer for those of us testing it as .Zip's are difficult to piggyback any external programs onto it from 3rd parties, and they usually (98.3% of the time) do not contain virus add-ons. So please, please release a .Zip Variant. It would be worth it. (I say usually, because 1.7% of the time, and this has happened through mods installed via install .exe's downloaded from this site in the past, have contained add-on 3rd party auto-installer programs such as "fake" anti-virus systems used to torment the downloadee's.)

how do you install this mod on the steam version?
For those who wish to use mods on steam you
place mod in:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\star wars empire
at war\Mods
For Forces of Corruption you place mods in:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\star wars empire at war\corruption\Mods
THEN in the Steam Client (Game Libary) right click the game, click Properties, Set Launch Options, Then type:
sweaw MODPATH=Mods\ "MOD NAME"
so looks like this sweaw MODPATH=Mods\ elite_conflict_mod_ivii
Then click OK then go back to the Steam Client and press play to automatically load the Mod of your choosing

doesn't work, it just launches the regular forces of corruption, i have been copying and pasting the file into my mod folder. if im doing anything wrong can u tell me cause i would love to play this mod.

These mods install additional Files in your Main Directory of your Game. If you have those mods installed you wont be able to play other mods. The best indication for it is that your AI isnt working.
So you make a back up of your current FoC + the currently installed mods and then you reinstall the game and install Elite´s Conflict Mod.
can i move the mods out of the folder then install elite conflict mod for no?
That and a fresh reinstall as your main Data folder may be affected by modded content of other mods
most time you just have to update FOC
so ive tried both methods you put in this comment and it still gives me the basic version and not the conflict mod. yet all my other mods i have work fine please help? :)

i fallowed all the steps in the Install giude but still not working even with mod launcher , i have no other previous versions it just launches the base game ?

sorry should have specified . i have the Gold pack disk installation
For the Disk version you have to create a .txt file and write in: swfoc MODPATH=Mods\elite_conflict_mod_ivii
Then you close the file and rename it to Play_ECM.bat
Then you place the file in: C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption
Then you start the game via the .bat file.

ok i did the .bat and i placed it in my FOC folder ,i copied what you had written , i start the game useing the bat file and the launcher and it both starts the vanilla game .
the folder with the mod files is "v1.2 Beta Folder" is that affecting it ?

I can start it now with progress , but upon launch it get a black screen with "exception!" idk what i did wrong i took the
"v1.2 Beta Folder" out and just left the \elite_conflict_mod_ivii and edited the .Bat for the ECMIVII path.
Did you install the Vista/Win7 Patch ?
The mod folder name and the name in the .bat need to be the same.
Do you have any other mods installed like: Alliance or Republic at War ? Those mods tend to override the base game files and make it impossible to play other mods. In that case make a backup of your current FoC game and reinstall the game and only install ECM :)

I have to agree, these guys have given a good amount of time to this mod and have worked really hard to get it to this point, I myself am a new modder, and it's harder than it looks

Differents ships models?
All these models you can see in the image section will be in the next release.
At later stages of development every model will be replaced with new ones.
All the of scenarios have blank planets that are unowned, is that working as intended?

Those planets are unoccupied to start. It depends on which GC you play, some have only 1 starting planet for each faction, while others have a number of starting planets.
In v1.2 there will be more GC variety which includes GC maps with multiple starting planets.

Alright! That makes sense.
I hope that in the full there will be some with all already-owned planets - even if its just minor 'milita' factions. I really like the new planets you add as well as the new units and changes to existing ones but it is difficult to play the GC when for the first few days instead of focusing on building you have to capture planets left and right.
