Capturing the drama and epic conflict of Star Wars, Battlefront II brings the fight online. Difficulty increased on all default maps and gamemodes, possibly on custom maps as well, I havent tested it yet but it should work.
This works by increasing AI difficulty (Accuracy,rate of fire). 2 numbers are set for Player team (your team) and Enemy team. I included 4 files for you to choose from, Ill explain.
missi Player team and Enemy team have value of +10 than default (default value is 11,17) - that means with this mod it will be 21,27.
missi as above but +20, so 31,37
missi as above but +80, so 91,97
missi get only +1 while enemy gets +20, so 12,37 (So your allies are kinda default vs hard enemy)
When you choose, rename the file you want to use to mission.lvl and replace the original file in your game folder.
If you want to turn it off (make it default), use your original mission.lvl from the back copy. Or, change ingame difficulty setting to normal.
FAQ:-Why not increase it even higher?Highest value accepted seems to be around 430 I think. Values above 100 dont really make much difference.
-Why wookie and other special units wont shoot their weapons much?This is caused by the weapons "Charging" feature (for example mortar launcher,bowcaster etc) because of higher difficultty, the AI is pressing the Fire button rapidly and on Chargeup weapon its more like its holding it forever. To fix this, I'd have to remove the chargeup feature and I plan to include that in another mod.
-Can AI in this game be improved even more?Absolutely, however it requires editing the game's executable which is very difficult without the source files. I have done some improvements which are beyond the scope of this mod, and I plan to release them in a huge package later under different mod.
