This addon contains the best SweetFX preset for Battlefront II, 2K and 4K resolutions and a fix for the AMD Crimson driver problems.
BETTER GRAPHICS
SweetFX
preset by Omnipotus for Battlefront II ported (by me) to Reshade with Sweet FX 2.0 (by Crosire and CJ.dk)
Comparison pictures: Sfx.thelazy.net
High Resolutions
4K (3840x2160) & 2K (2560x1440).
I recommend downsampling.
AMD Crimson Fix
for AMD GPUs where flashing lights appear (doesn't work for the current crimson version)
I recommend the Battlefront Evolved mod for the best visual experience, available here on ModDB:
Installation

2. Unzip the download, open the .exe and choose the "BattlefrontII.exe".
3. Close the Application.
(Move to this download)
4. Open the folder with your downsampling resolution.
5. Move the "GameData" subfolder into your "Star Wars Battlefront II" folder.
6. Overwrite "vidmode.txt" and everything else.
SweetFX only:
1. Download SweetFX 2.0 from this website: Reshade.me
2. Unzip the download, open the .exe and choose the "BattlefrontII.exe".
3. Close the Application.
(Move to this download)
4. Open any of the folders with a resolution in their name.
5. Open the "GameData" subfolder.
6. Delete the "DATA" subfolder.

3. Delete everything inside except for the "DATA" subfolder.
4. Move the "GameData" subfolder into your "Star Wars Battlefront II" folder.
5. Overwrite "vidmode.txt".
Crimson fix:
(you need that if you experience bright flashing colours instead of ground textures with an AMD GPU, e.g. on Endor)
1. Open the "AMD Crimson fix" folder.
2. Move the "GameData" subfolder into your "Star Wars Battlefront II" folder.
Game may crash at launch. In this case you need a different fix version. Please comment in this case.
Uninstallation:
SweetFX:
Delete inside your "GameData" folder:
1. "SweetFX" folder
2. "d3d9.dll"
3. "d3d9.txt"
4. "ReShade.fx"
5. "Sweet.fx"
Higher resolutions:
1. Open the "Original" folder.
2. Move the "GameData" subfolder into your "Star Wars Battlefront II" folder.
3. Overwrite "vidmode.txt".
Crimson fix:
Delete inside your "GameData" folder:
1. "atiumd64.dll"
2. "atiumdag.dll"
Crimson fix works like a charm. Thanks!
No problem. Do you use any other part of the mod?
I do not. And that's simply an aesthetic thing for me; I like the way BFII looks on its own for the most part.
I can tell a lot of time and care went into this, though; kudos!!
Ha funny I wouldn't touch it without SweetFx. And Downsampling is the best AA Method if your device has enough power, nothing else is changed.
the crimsonfix crashes at launce. May I get the different fix version please?
I would download this but theres like 3 different downloads and all having different things to do and I dont know if im supposed to download all of them
You choose the version you want and follow the instructions.
I'm trying to fix the colored ground textures but the crimson fix isn't working, my game isn't crashing either, and I know I put it in the right folder, the gamedata folder
both atium64.dll and atiumdag.dll are located in your gamedata folder?
Hi, i tried the crimson fix but it's not working for me. The files in the right place where the exe (gamedata folder), but i still have the weird ground colors. My card is a R7 370 and have the steam version of bf2.
Fix isn't working for me either :-( I have the newest Crimson Driver and RX470.
me to
Okay, both atiumdag.dll and atiumd64.dll?
Yeah both.
That's from Reddit, my addon will be deleted soon:
To Fix:
Go to Mega.nz
Click on Direct X 9.0
Right Click on 14.12.zip
Do a Standard Download
Extract Files to Same location as BattlefrontII.exe
This will prevent you from having to do a driver "rollback" simply by using older AMD Driver Dlls.
Disclaimer: Some people have reported the game crashes when applying this fix. If this is happening to you use a different Driver Version under DirectX 9.0 for Step 3. Not all drivers may be supported by your AMD GPU which might cause your game to crash at launch.
that didn't work for me and I have the steam version of the game
Yes, I'm aware of this. Didn't found a fix yet.
