Unlike the first game, Elite Force II is largely set onboard the USS Enterprise-E stationed in the Alpha Quadrant. The game's storyline is a semi-sequel to the movie Star Trek Nemesis, and the end of Star Trek: Voyager series. Many of the members from the original Hazard Team reappear. However only a few of the primary cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation did voice acting for the game, among them Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard, Dwight Schultz as Reginald Barclay, and Tim Russ as Tuvok. Several actors from Star Trek series provided additional voice acting: Jeffrey Combs (Weyoun from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Commander Shran from Star Trek: Enterprise) as one of the main villains; Robert O'Reilly (Gowron from Deep Space Nine) as Krindo; J.G. Hertzler (Martok from Deep Space Nine, plus roles in Voyager and Enterprise) as Lurok; and Vaughn Armstrong (Admiral Forrest in Enterprise) who contributed with several character voices. Master Server Fix / Patch on ModDB.com

Gsio provides us a alternative Master server for EF2 !

Using this alternative Master Server the players can see the server listed again in the game Serverbrowser. Setting the new Master Server can be a little bit tricky, unless you can put this automated tool to use, which is for windows only. So here is a small tutorial how to set the new Master Server for your Client Game and Game Server.

Please note:

  • That you might need Administrative privileges for this to work.
  • It can take up to 30 seconds for you to connect to a server when connecting the first time to it with your current IP
  • It might show you a Authentication failed message, ignore it. It appears only because the verification of your CD-Key did not succeed (usually done by the Master/Auth server)

Ya, it's a great game. Too bad it isn't on Steam or Desura, it wouldn't even need a face lifting to be resold.
