Call of Pripyat takes you once again into the vicinity of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor that exploded in 1986. This so-called "Zone" is a highly contaminated area cordoned off by the military and now is combed through by the so-called stalkers, modern fortune hunters, in search of unique artifacts. In the role of Agent Alexander Degtyarev, who is dressed up as stalker, you have to investigate the mysterious disappearance of five military helicopters and thereby stand one’s ground against the various stalker groups.

Description

Adds 53 minutes of ambient music to the zone. Originally, the game only has 27 minutes of music in the three main areas. See full description for video preview.

I'll be honest, I sometimes pull the slider down and enjoy the ambience. Feels good man.

Games aren't meant to be real, they are meant to be fun/scary to play. If a game was realistic it would be so annoying because you would be nilly dead in one shot...

I always die with a single shot in this game, because i play on Master difficulty. Some games feel better when played in the most realistic way. Stalker is one of these games.

I seldom use music myself. It pulls me away from the mood that ambience provides me and I agree with the comment of being more realistic this way.

Nevertheless, You still deserve credit for enhancing an aspect of the game no matter how often it is utilised. I think your tones fit the vanilla music quite well.

Cool, I thought the music the CoP music wasn't as cool as SHoC's or CS's. I like having the music turned down low enough to just barely hear, with the right kind of music the game gets a creepier feeling than if it's just ambient sounds
