Solaroids now has a limited free demo available from the Steam Solaroids: Prologue page. The demo limits play time to 15 minutes or through level 4, whichever comes first. In addition steam features such as leaderboards and achievements are disabled. Once the demo expires you are greeting with a hungry black hole and further progress in the game is halted.
Here's the details on the limitations of the demo:
- Free Play mode is unavailable
- No global leaderboards
- No steam stats/achievements
- The demo period expires after 15 minutes or after level 4 is completed whichever comes first.
- When the demo expires you have a chance to purchase it in-game to continue play without interruption. If you don't purchase it a black hole will form in the middle of the map and game progress is halted. If the game is then unlocked, progress continues.
- Note that Steam leaderboards and achievements will not become active until the game is restarted.
