Shallow Space is a 3D Real Time Strategy game inspired by Nexus: The Jupiter incident and Homeworld. Shallow Space focuses on organised mass RTS space combat in a fully 3D environment. Ships in Shallow Space are nearly always grouped into Flotillas and Wings, and orders issued to these structures cascade to the subordinate members. Rather than stressing out clicking on the units or dragging selection boxes during the heat of battle, standing orders are issued in advance leaving you to zoom around, activating abilities and arranging support and reinforcements. Should the tide turn in battle traditional control is still available.

Holly canoli... that's really an awesome UI.

The images a the upper right corner get created automatically from the ship model or are a separated image?

I'm in love with the attention to detail of this game. For example the rotating and aiming turrets, that alone sets it apart from most other games.

Ha that is what I consider to be the essentials, look back at the videos it was practically the first thing I put it.

I really can't wait to get into the meat of it - then I'll raise a few eyebrows. I wish I could work on it full time!

Custom written by our resident musician Enryoki. You can find many of the tracks used in these video on his album which is on iTunes Itunes.apple.com

I have to say it is truly excellent, I code while listening to it, puts me in a trance. Its a bit like M83, touch of Amon Tobin but more atmospheric - really good.

this whole video took my breath away. The music was just amazing, reminds me a lot of Maniac/Drive, meanwhile the actual gameplay sucked me in. So psyched for the release.

I've been waiting for a game to sit on the throne that Homeworld 2 left vacant since 2003.
Don't disappoint me or I'll burn your house down <3
Seriously though. Please do not make this another Swords of the Stars 2. I want this to be good and you can make that happen, from what I've seen.

UI's fab, just, for me the amount of angle adjustment as the cursor moves is a little OTT. Have you considered linking the movement of the UI to the movement of the camera instead? I-War EOC springs to mind.

the permanent wobbling around of the UI is a bit.. irritating for me.

maybe limit it to times when either the windows move (like when minimising/relocating them) or the camera moves (like simulating a physical projection that is mounted in front of the "camera")
