SCP-Nightmares is a game based on the SCP Universe about a Class-D from the SCP-Foundation who is captured. He is broken out by people who are in the Insurgency, who tell him to break out SCPs. When he breaches containment of one of the most lethal SCPs: SCP-080, he falls asleep and wakes up in chaos, the chaos HE created. To stop this, his goal is to recapture all of the breached SCPs and escape, all without the Foundation or the Insurgency catching him. In the game, if you lose health, you can sleep to regain it, but you can have nightmares, and scary ones. If you have 6 nightmares in one game, you lose.

People involved in the making of this game are:
BirdaoGwra - Game developer, coder, scripter, project manager, and map maker.
Wiggly Waffle - Storyline writer, map design, musician, and promotional director.
Sleeping Mechanic: Okay, so as I said in the GDD, one of the main game features in the game was sleeping.
Here is the feature description as I wrote on the IndieDB page:
In the game, if you lose health, you can sleep to regain it, but sometimes you have nightmares. This has been implemented so that you can regain health. We all know how hard that is in other games. Also, if you sleep you have a 20% chance of having a nightmare, with storyline. These "nightmares" consist of normal daily activities, like having a picnic or taking a jog down the street, but are filled with jumpscares.
Well, I have a little to add and edit:
Each section of the map has two beds. You can sleep in each bed four times. You have a 100% chance of having a nightmare if you sleep all four sleeps, which means you have A 25% nightmare chance per sleep. All of the nightmares have a storyline, and the story continues the next time you have a nightmare.
NOTE: All of these dreams are interactive, but there are no objectives.
There will be a demo soon. Soon meaning in a while, because of challenges and obstacles we face at the current moment. These challenges include:
The entire storyline for SCP-Nightmares has been completed. It has taken me a while, but it is over with for now, until severe edits are needed to fit...
We have made several websites and ways to get in contact with the team, so we will provide them below. These sites include a tumblr, a website, an SCP-C.B...
I edited this... well, a lot, so I thought I would edit this EVEN MORE. I sent this to the developer, and I said, "HEY, WHY NOT PUT THIS ON INDIEDB?!?!?!?...

This is the official free soundtrack of the game SCP-Nightmares. All of this music has been made originally and isn't copyrighted whatsoever as of 12-27-13...
This looks cool x)
"You have a 100% chance of having a nightmare if you sleep all four sleeps"
What do you mean by "sleep all four sleeps"?
Ah, yes. I think you have to give "SPOILER" tag before the "nightmare" section. I almost break my excitement by reading it. Just saying ;)
Good luck on your progress, anyway
"This looks cool x)"
Thanks. Each and every person that gives support means a lot to us.
"What do you mean by "sleep all four sleeps"?"
Each section of the map has two beds. You can sleep in each bed four times. You have a 100% chance of having a nightmare if you sleep all four sleeps that a bed has, because you can sleep in a bed four times. Out of those four, there is a 100% chance you will have one nightmare.
"Ah, yes. I think you have to give "SPOILER" tag before the "nightmare" section. I almost break my excitement by reading it. Just saying ;)"
I probably should.
"Good luck on your progress, anyway."
Thank you again. I haven't worked on the storyline for a while, so I should get back to it now!
If I used the possible four sleeps in a bed, I'll have 100% chance of having nightmare. You described that each sleep gives 25% chance of nightmare.
Let's just say, I slept for the first time. That's 25%
Then the next sleep, will the chance rises to 50% or stay 25%?
No, that is completely untrue, The Sculpture could work, just as an cameo or easter egg.
Yes, as a cameo. We already have SCP-096 as an Easter Egg, but I guess I could fit SCP-173 into the story somehow.
Just a wild suggestion from anon, why dont you include other npc d-class tht could aid you in capturing Scp-173?
Well the idea was that they died freeing SCPs, and that there wouldn't be anyone else to help you. The Foundation itself and the Insurgency are both against you, so in the game there is really no one to help you. The development team was thinking of adding co-op modes and missions to those co-op mode, but adding all of the local-server-IP-coding would probably make the development process like a year longer, and then fixing bugs would be even longer.
Never mind, 173 could play a major role via patrolling it's chamber.
SCP-173 may or may not be in the released Beta version because I, the writer and creator of the whole SCP-Nightmares idea itself believe that SCP-173 might be to hard to contain without the MTF's help. Along with all of the other SCPs, 173 would probably make someone rage quit our game, and we don't want that.
