Just in time for the New Year - A Sweet Studio is excited to present a wonderful fast paced co-op action game in a beautiful western environment - SCALPERS: Turtle & the Moonshine Gang
A Sweet Studio were looking at the co-op genre and felt something was missing… And the idea of was born. The inspiration came from co-op games, MMO´s and ARPG and the game has elements from the different genres and with a lot of action.
SCALPERS: Turtle & the Moonshine Gang is a 4-player co-op shooter set in stunning views of the Wild West, and with cartoon theme. Playing as fearless bounty hunters, the players will meet several difficult enemies, objectives and epic bosses on their journey to collect the prize. The game will be released on PC, and have been submitted to steam greenlight.
Scalpers is played in 30-45 minutes missions. Players have the choice to play any level at any difficulty at any time and can mix character, abilities and weapons to create a role that fit their playstyle or the current needs of the team, ex: a healer, tank or dps.
“We wanted to make a co-op game with great boss battles, like MMOs, but without all the grinding and to add more intense action” says one of the founders and creatives, Gustav Linde.
Players complete bounty missions by defeating bosses, all with their own strengths and weaknesses. Their abilities and behaviors originate from their species, such as the aggressive Rhino.
“This game is even harder than Dark Souls” shouts twitcher Ekveel during an intense battle in scalpers.
“We hope to give the co-op audience a really hard and fun gaming experience, and with new exiting concept instead of more zombie and aliens shooters. We love shooting cute animals and blowing things up, and hopefully our audience too” Says Mattias Högvall, Art Director and co-founder at A Sweet Studio.
