Sanctuary Defender is a Tower Defense game with ARPG elements (games like Diablo 2, Path of Exile, and Grim Dawn). Unlike usual Tower Defense games, you play as THE tower and use different obtainable skills against waves of enemies. Use utility skills to gather material or salvage enemy metals for the crafting system, to make items and equipment.

Below are some game features, although their descriptions are short, I am working on a more detailed description with images showing examples of the game features.

3 Game Modes: There will be 3 game modes to add difficulty, and challenge.
Standard: This game mode is ment for players who are new to the game, when you fail (lose all your Health Points) you only lose some leveling experience points.

Hardcore: This game mode is ment for players who are used to the game, and have a plan for their sanctuary. Rather than losing some leveling experience points upon 0 Health Points, you instead lose all progress, especially restarting the game from square 1.

Uber: this game mode is ment for players who have mastered hardcore, and want to experience even more challenge. Similar to Hardcore mode, with the additions that each enemy wave has some stat bonuses, and upon leveling up, the enemy spawner levels up with you.

Skill System: Choose from different skills to use that deal different types of damage. Each time you level up you gain a Skill Point, which can be used to improve current skills, or obtain new skills. At certain levels you have the option to obtain stronger skills.

Passive System: Similar to the skill system, you receive a Passive Point by leveling up. These can be applied to passives which increase certain stats, like "+5% Fire damage" or "+25 Health" or even "+2 Cast Speed".

Enemy Spawn System: This is a unique system where you can add stats like "+5% enemy health" or "+15% enemy attack speed" but in return you get extra EXP and Loot bonuses. We also plan to add modifiers like "Next wave contains a boss" or "Enemies cannot be stunned".

Utility and Crafting: Use utility skills to gather materials or salvage enemy items, which then can be used in crafting items and equipment for yourself.

More game features will be discussed as the game is updated.

This is an example of what the Enemy Spawner feature does. With items you can add modifiers like "+5 additional enemies" or "+15% Enemy Health" or "+25% EXP" to the Enemy Spawner.

The Enemy spawner has 4 tiers. Using an item that alters the Enemy Spawn's modifiers will add a tier. So starting from Tier 0, you can use 3 Enemy Spawner items to hit Tier 4, at that point no more Enemy Spawner items can be used until beating that enemy wave.

Here are some item ideas:
"Wrath Shard"
+25% EXP
+25% Enemy Damage

"Beserker Medal"
+35% EXP
+15% Enemy Damage
+15% Enemy Attack Speed
+15% enemy Move Speed

"Gold Stone"
+15% EXP
+25% Loot
