No one can ascertain the current Earth year (or if there is still Earth at all), so we start the count from Vostorg-7 year 0. This year marked the arrival of a joint Russian-Chinese colonization probe on Vostorg-7, a probe dispatched a very long time ago - in the early 21st century of Earth. After a long interstellar odyssey, it finally reached the unforgiving yet potentially habitable planet. The initial dreams of forging a unified spaceborne human nation were soon abandoned, as differing visions for utopian societies took root. Instead, seven independent human colonies emerged from the cosmic dust. While most of these colonies succumbed to rapid deterioration, with their inhabitants mutating into otherworldly beings or descending into feral lifestyles amidst Vostorg-7's unforgiving terrain, two colonies stood out as bastions of Man’s determination - the Derzhava and the Planet Cult.

What is it supposed to do? If has to sit at some intermediate altitude, taking pictures: B3.
If it's supposed to help the poor ***** on the ground not die by dispensing copious amounts of Armour-Penetrating judgement from up close: B2, or 3 again.
If it's a sooper-dooper stealthy fighta-bomba drone: A3, A1 or B1.
If you're going for some sort of supersonic interceptor: A4.

A1 would suffer less air resistance than A4 cause it doesn't have so many..."holes" on it...
So it would be a better "supersonic"...
:p

Fairly certain those are the intakes. So kind of obligatory on an aircraft if you don't want to bring your oxidizer.
And I'm guessing if you want a low radar cross-section, at least from the ground, putting them up top might even work.

so...4 intakes, with different sizes and angles....that won't help much on stealth, and if it needs that many, its engine is quite inefficient.
Also, delta-wings increase radar signature, that is the worst in stealth in the A designs.

So not a single redeeming quality after all? Oh, well, still got cool going for it. :P ...ish.

Nope, delta-wings are the way to go for stealth. Look at the F-22, the Rafale, the Su-50 : they all have delta wings (or diamant wings, which is almost the same).

Trapezoid wings, actually. Your emphasis should be on 'almost,' since there's a considerable difference.
Of the three you mentioned, the 22 is a trap and the 50 looks like someone answered "Yes," when asked whether to make a flying wing, a delta wing, or a trapezoid.

Also, minor detail: Main issues with delta seems to be that they aren't as manoeuvrable as the other designs.

Dassault stuck canards on the Rafale to compensate, but I doubt I'd be overly keen on taking one into a dogfight with another supermaneuverable opponent.

Delta wing, less manoeuvrable ? They degrade their energy faster, but their instantaneous turn rate is higher.

Dassault didn't "stuck canards to compensate". The canards are an inherent part of the design since the beginning. And the Rafale has faired VERY well in WVR scenarios against F-22s at each Red Flag they participated.

So, back to topic, you suggest a delta-wing design would be worse than B3 for stealth ? WTF are you talking about ? RIGHT ANGLE = NO STEALTH. Now look at B3. OK ?

I was referring to the canard, as it is sometimes aka delta-wing canard.
Canards increase Radar signature, that's why on the T-50 the canards are smoothly implemented along the wing itself.
preserving both stealth and performance.
and another point of why the chinese J-20 is a inferior design compared to both FA-22A and T-50.

If it's a drone it's definitely B2 or A3 for me. A3 is fine, because it looks less like a full fledged jet and more "drony", sharing some jet elements without exaggerating them. If it would be a stealth jet then A2 or A4, but not for a drone.

Depends on the role. If it's a long-endurance stealth bomber, A3 or B2 seem the most logical. If it's a fighter A1.
