Rise of the Ravager is arcade action best described as a blending of Guitar Hero and Missile Command. A god desires to be reborn, an event that would signal the End of Times. In Rise of the Ravager, seek favor from the Old Ones to prevent his avatar from destroying all. Play alone, or invite three friends to blast hordes of enemies utilizing a unique combat system based on color. Large boss fights, multiple landscapes, unfolding mythology - preventing the End of Time is an entertaining challenge. #### NOW Available for Linux! ####

Oh and thanks for reading this post despite my cheesy "May-an" joke!

Mash Those Buttons
"I am hopelessly hooked on Rise of the Ravager" (4.2/5)

Co-Optimus
"Rise of the Ravager is one of those games that made me fall in love with indie games in the first place."

The XBLIG
"The various skill combinations (and option to refund), multiple levels, and New Game+ (ha, more like Difficulty+) make it easy to recommend as a shooter."

OtakuDante's Gaming Inferno
The game itself beams with the high quality presentation that developers such as PopCap Games are able to deliver. If you are looking for a new shmup that's out of the ordinary then this will definitely be something worth getting into.

Wraithkal's Indie Gaming Corner
Single player in Rise of the Ravager was loads of fun

Indie Statik
At first I thought it a little dull... Soon, however, I was to eat those thoughts of mine.

Indie Game Reviewer (IGR)
"Rise of the Ravager is an addictive shooter that does a great job of yoking that wonderful hypnotic feeling that a great shoot-em up can provide, while also deftly mixing up strategy elements and implementing an effective upgrade system to keep you on your toes."

Gameplayersreview
Rise of the Ravager is a highly addictive and wonderfully playable game with great controls and a healthy amount of challenge.

I seem to be having a problem where the screen will just turn black until I alt-tab out. Windows 7 64-bit two-screen setup, by the way. Is this a known problem? Is there anyway to window this thing?

Just purchased in a bundle, entered the code, received message that my gift was activated, yet the game does not show up in my games list. I could play it by entering the games title in windows explorer or by searching "programs and files". I have also created a desktop shortcut to the game. The game however is not listed on my desura client. This could be problematic as I may "accidentally" repurchase the game again. Is this ever going to be fixed. I have restarted the desura client repeatedly. The game still does not show up.

Hi jeffycognit! I recommend contacting Desura support on this one. There is very little we can do in relation to the Desura Client. At least it sounds like the game and key are attached to your account, just not showing up for some reason.

That is scheduled for our first update. Basically the only two times you can't return immediately to the main menu is the point distribution screen and the summary screen (after a mission). Just go into the main game where you have the turret and push escape. Here you can return or quit all together. Slight navigation oversight!
