Yep, it sounds like After Effects. But just now I have a water physics in 3 lines of code!
Water sinks, flows,has a surface tension, can be moved to another place and "the Hero" (box) can swim there. Although, it realised just in 3 lines of code! I like it!

Waterflow example:
We have a cup full of water, but let's rotate the field CW
Rotaaaaaaate.....
And wait till all water sinks out of the cup....
